Training kit for refugee-led organisations
Throughout Europe, refugees are organised in many initiatives, to defend their own interests or to help newly arrived refugees. These RCOs are not always seen or heard. This new training kit was developed to help improve the position of RCOs, and help governments understand their importance.
RCOs are organisations set up by refugees themselves. They form an important bridge for newcomers and often help them integrate more quickly by providing things like language courses and information and showing them the way in their new home country.
If Europe is to move towards more inclusive, rights-respecting and dignified laws and policies, RCOs must be seen as equal interlocutors who play a key role in connecting refugees and host communities

The training kit is the result of an Erasmus+ funded project and implemented by the Aditus Foundation Malta, Cyprus Refugee Council, Dutch Council for Refugees, European Council on Refugees and Exiles, Greek Forum of Refugees, Jesuit Refugee Service (Malta), Mosaico – Azioni per i rifugiati (Italy), with the support of Syrian Volunteers the Netherlands.
